Congratulations to all involved in the first annual Lanna Weekend Basketball Camp that was recently held at the Secondary campus. Over thirty students and eight coaches honed their skills, practiced winning strategies, mentored younger students, and competed in tournaments. Lanna, APIS, and Varee Schools were represented and fun was had by all!
We would like to extend our thanks to the Lanna PTO for their generous financial support. Thanks also to Chris Lowenstein and Trevor Sweek (parent coaches), John Hinson and Alton Kim (volunteer coaches), Dylan Faith (Varee Chiangmai School), Coach Eric Zyla (Lanna), and Coaches Nathan Kimmons and John Watson (organizers).
Thank you also to the Lanna PE Dept. and to our amazing Lanna support staff for their enthusiastic help! Prizes for competition winners were generously provided by Living Films and Rose’s Roadhouse & New York Style Pizza. Camp participants collected donations which will be given to the Baan Dek Foundation.
We hope this camp will become an annual fixture and expand in coming years to include both the Primary and Secondary Schools and a range of international schools in the Chiang Mai community. Thank you to everyone supporting the growth of the Lanna Basketball Program! Go Lions!
