Harry Watts, a Chiang Mai Cultural Ambassador, Receives Prestigious Awards

“Harit Harry Watt (Harry), a 14-year-old Chiang Mai native, will be honoured with two prestigious awards on National Youth Day 2024. Harry, a Year 9 student at Lanna ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ School, will receive the Tonkla Semakunathon Award (a plaque from the Prime Minister) and the Outstanding Youth Role Model Award 2024 (a plaque from the Minister of Education).
A talented young man with Thai-English heritage, Harry’s artistic inclination is evident. He is the son of a retired engineer and a housewife, and has a sister working as a policy and planning officer at Chiang Mai University Library.
Despite his bilingual upbringing, and studying since Year 1 at Lanna ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ School, Harry’s connection to Thai culture has deepened over the years…”
